A defining voice in German contemporary art, known for conceptual photography and digital painting. His works have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, MAXXI Museum Rome, and Luxehills Art Museum Chengdu.
Chinese-German conceptual artist. Winner of the 2023 Warburg Golden Lion Award. In 2024, Düsseldorf established the Jiny Lan Art Foundation in her honor. Her works are held by the German Bundestag and the National Gallery of Modern Art, Rome.
A two-week exhibition built around the concept of "journey" as spiritual core, weaving a dialogue between German artist Dieter Nuhr and Chinese-German artist Jiny Lan. Through vastly different visual grammars — Nuhr's analytical photography and Lan's poetic painting — the exhibition crafts a complex narrative of cultural migration in an era of globalization.
